My vector art

Since I want to go major in graphic designing I thought I should start working on my portfolio...because I don't really have anything for it haha I'm still kind ify on majoring in graphic designing...there's going to be so much competition >< I get dejected easily, but right now that's really the only thing I want to do so I'm just going to go for it I guess...and then minor in some other computer courses so if I can see if I have any other choices to major in if I fail in graphic designing lol

I'm really not sure how much they'll like blends...since you really don't see them except maybe for movie posters...so I'm going to ask my teacher when school is back first before doing that. But I'm pretty sure they'll like vectors =D

Here's one of my first vectors I did a few years back: (click on pic for bigger version)

Yes, that is Zai Zai haha I butchered his pretty face ^^;;;;; I liked the shirt though lol After this I probably attempted to do a few more vectors but then I gave up because I just found it hard lol But now I'm doing vectors using another method and it looks so much better =D

I'm glad I had some improvement lol Hmm...now I wonder what else I should add to my portfolio =/

....

It was so hot on Wednesday, I'm so glad it rained Wednesday night. I can't stand humidity and the heat, I'd rather be cold lol I'm not sure whether or not that's the reason I had another one of those "dizzy spells," that's what they call it =/ It was already 80 degrees at 7am in the morning @.@ I was only outside for less than a minute, getting from my house to my car and out of the car in the parking lot to the hospital. I was fine while I was on the computer in my dad's office...then at 9 I went to the escort room and got my first assignment...it was a stretcher assignment so me and another woman went up there but the patient wasn't ready so we stood and waited for a long time. Then I started to feel it coming, it's so weird, I always feel it coming and I wish the patient would be ready already! But of course by the time they were ready I already started getting light headed. When we got to the elevator it got a bit worse...so then I went to take a drink which was only a few feet away...was fine...then went back...and then it got bad...couldn't see well...so had to sit down on the floor...and then the patient's husband had to get a nurse...and then of course I was fine again when she came. She took my blood pressure and then told me to eat some sugary foods and drink more water because I was probably dehydrated.

You see this has happened a lot in the past couple of years...The first time it happened was when I was in New Jersey at a market and it was freakin hot and I dunno...maybe it was heat exhaustion and I totally passed out heh After that time I would have these "dizzy spells" but they would always only last for a few minutes or less. I had it checked out but they found nothing wrong with me. They put all these wires on my head, it was interesting haha It happened in school once when I was switching classes and I thought it was a miracle that I got across the hallway lol Because I couldn't see well at all and so I probably looked like some drunk person who can't walk straight and I was bumping into everyone, literally, but I didn't fall! And I got to the other side of the hallway, amazing eh? Of course right after I got across I wasn't dizzy/light headed anymore, psh.

Anyways, today I went to New York again...finally took the crafts my sister and I made to my uncle's place to sell, which is outside the Flushing Mall. They had this game thing going on to try and attract more people. Honestly the mall sucks lol And their little promotion wasn't that successful either. My uncle had tickets to play the game so I went to play and I got myself some trash =P The game was "Crazy Clipping." They have these "prizes" all over this table and you have to clip as many of them and put them in your basket in 30 secs. Whatever you clip you keep. When I saw what the "prizes" were I didn't even feel like playing. They were all leftover junk from the dollar store. They were all useless things too.

Then on the way home we got stuck in traffic, didn't get home until 7:30pm, didn't eat dinner until 8:15pm.

And after this I'm going to continue watching War of the In-laws =D The last TVB drama I saw was Shades of Truth, after that all the other TVB dramas didn't seem interesting...I started Misleading Track but gave up after 3 eps...but I actually like War of the In-laws, it's quite funny and it's not a long series like Virtues of Harmony so they won't kill it. And Fiona, I thought tuxedo mask when I saw "bat lau ming" too! haha I've never seen this actor before...lol Myolie is so cute in this series.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

I just came back not long ago from seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was good, I enjoyed it. I loved the graphics, they were really awesome. Johnny Depp looked freaky with the long hair and pale skin and I'm glad he wore his hat most of the time lol The bangs look rather weird. But I thought he did a good job in portraying Willy Wonka, I've watched the old one before...but I don't remember it that well ^.^;;;;; So I can't really compare.

It also seems like Johnny and Tim Burton has worked on another movie together, Corpse Bride. It's coming out in September, if I have time I might check it out. What I'm looking forward to is Pirates II =) Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow is the best.

This weekend I went to New Jersey for a BBQ and usually what I do there is watch a movie because there's really nothing else to do...they had Harry Potter 3 and I never watched it and the 4th is coming out so I thought I'd see it. But then the 1st disc wasn't in the case @.@ So I settled on Forest Gump. I watched the 2nd half of it in Social Studies because apparently that was the more interesting part. I think that it's an amazing true story.

Last week at the hospital I met an interesting patient ^^;;;; She was not a happy lady but I guess I can understand why, I mean she's at the hospital and that's not the greatest place. So I guess she takes it out on the nurses and escorts. The nurses told us to watch out for her hands, so apparently she grabs people. But we arrived at our destination safely, she cursed a bit and criticized, but no violence lol Sometimes the nurses can get pretty moody too and some of them just ignores you. 2 weeks ago that caused me to leave 20 min late. I usually leave at 4pm but I didn't leave until 4:20pm. It was probably about 3:45pm when me and this other guy went up to the patients room. The nurses saw us there with a stretcher but they just chatted and then when they were done they left @.@ Then when someone finally noticed us she tells us that they don't need a stretcher, they want a wheelchair, the bigger one. So who ever called escort had it wrong or they just changed their minds. I couldn't find the wheelchair and the nurse disappeared and so more waiting. It's always hurry up and wait.

Back!

Have you ever wonder why the sky is blue? Or why we humans walk and not fly? Well, that's how I'm wondering about myself. Why am I me? Why can't I lead a well ordinary life? I never felt so useless and pointless in my life. I mean, I cannot accomplish things I want to complete, I feel like I'm such a disjointed idiot, no, i mean loser. I mask everything up, nobody could be able to see me through and witness my ugly interior. Everyone sees me as a normal, satisfied person, some see me as perfect. But I'm really not, I tried to be normal, but perhaps I tried too hard that I am abnormal. I have been so strong to hide everything I feel, but know what, I don't think I'd be able to handle this anymore. I'm such an idiot, why can't I ever do anything right!

It has been a quite hiatus for me. Or so... it seems. Well it was only when I was making a new banner for evanescent did I realize how long I've gone from it, lol. I miss you Amy! I have not been really active lately. Not that I've been lazy or anything, I just feel a bit down these days and had been trying to lift my spirits up by doing things I've never imagined myself doing. I cried. I did. I cried a river.

God. I feel so much better now. I've never felt so refreshing. :)

Though, I think there are side effects. I'm starting to feel a headache.

Lmao.

Well, I'm back!!! :)

The week...

It was so busy this week at the hospital @.@ I barely sat except for when I had my lunch break. Apparently I walked about 4 miles or more in one day...so in total I walked 12 miles during my 3 days of volunteering this week lol Good exercise haha

Yesterday I went to New York again. My uncle's started selling his hologram-like pictures...i'm not sure if they are really called holograms lol but anyways, it's right outside the Flushing Mall and it's not that lively...>< Not a lot of peope go there and to be honest...I don't think they'll sell that well...I mean they are cool but to depend only on holographic pictures to make a living is hard and the spot he's selling them at isn't the greatest either. But good luck to him =)

I hanged out with my cousin as my parents went around with their friends. We went into this Morning Glory store and spent probably around 2 hours there taking sticker photos hehe It was so cool, so much better than the machine last time. You can choose your own background, then add your own border, own icons and you can write text too. There were so many choices so it took us forever to decide on what we wanted lol And while we were choosing we heard songs by Tension, JJ Lin and others. I got excited when I heard JJ Lin's Jiang Nan hehe Sherry and I started singing...the guys outside that were incharge of the sticky photos probably thought we were really weird...one of the guys kept on checking up on us because we took so long lol When we were finally done and the photos came out the guy told us that it costed $20! @.@ That is expensive for sticker photos...even if there were many options and they printed it on good paper. We definitely should've asked how much it cost before doing it...usually you insert the money into the machine first and then you start taking photos but this one was different. But at least it was fun and we did spend a long time there lol I've learned my lesson lol Always ask for the price first!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is opening this week, I want to see it...although Johnny Depp looks so freaky but it's nice to see him act different roles and looking so different every time. I would like to see Fantastic Four too...reminds me of F4 haha Why can't F4 make a movie called that? There are 4 leads, perfect for them! Just change the monster thing to a human lol

Oh yeah...any leehom fans happen to have videos of his concerts in Malaysia? I've seen the one where he sings the song his fans wrote him...and him playing the violin for Julia, a Chinese instrument and the clip from Sinchew but that's it. I want to see the concert so badly because it sounded so awesome from news articles and he looked so incredibly hot in the pics lol I hope he'll come to the US since he's having a world tour, I missed Jay, but I won't miss Leehom if he comes!

New haircut

Haven't blogged in a while...but Trisha really hasn't blogged in a while, Trisha where are you? You're not online much anymore, hope you're doing good lol

Well I'll start from 2 weeks ago...I watched 2 movies, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Howl's Moving Castle. They both were pretty good.

Then on Wednesday (22th) I started my volunteering. It was really busy lol But then on Thursday and Friday it wasn't as busy...sat there for almost an hour doing nothing lol I met a friend, Laura but she left for Washington DC already to be a nanny. She was the talkative type, like most of my friends haha She volunteered for 3 days too, but from 9am-3am, I stay until 4pm. Now I have no one to eat lunch with booo. Everyone else is pretty nice though and I enjoy it. We mostly move patients around but sometimes they make us deliver flowers, specimens, charts and other things. I kind of know my way around now, but there are still a few places I don't know and I am so bad with directions lol I always circle around for a while before I actually get to the room number and sometimes I take the wrong elevators hehe I hate pushing stretchers and  pumps because sometimes they have a mind of their own =P

I also quit marching band because I dunno...don't enjoy it that much and I'll be volunteering the entire summer so the schedules will clash. Well that was the excuse I used hehe I really can go to the practices if I wanted too but yeah...just don't think it'll be that great of a year so I quit.

Then on the 25th was my sister's graduation party. Played lots of DDR, it's so fun, I love that game lol My cousin Angela and friend Ana were like so incredibly awesome at that game, it was great to watch them lol Watched Finding Nemo..again...watched it so many times @.@ It's a good movie but I can't always rewatch things many times because I know what happens. These 3 kids were over and they were running around my house so I put on a movie for them so they can sit still lol Played some ping pong too...did some karaoking...and eating and that's it. Me and my cousins put in money together to buy my sister an ipod as her graduation present, it's blue and has 4GB. So now she has a CD player and a MP3 player while I have nothing...=(

Then I went to New York last Saturday to see my aunt's new cd shop, which is in Flushing. Most of the cds are old though...if she ever gets more recent ones I'll start promoting haha They sell them cheaper because they have some connection. After we stopped by my aunt's shop we went out for lunch and then I went to get a haircut. Here's a pic of my new haircut:

It wasn't exactly what I wanted...but I guess it's ok, I wanted it longer though because I hate shoulder length hair. I wanted it past my shoulders so that the ends won't flare out.

After I cut my hair I went back to my aunt's shop and my little cousin David was throwing a tantrum because my aunt put on a MTV cd which meant no more cartoons for David lol He then refused to go to the bathroom, even after my aunt put the cartoon back on. So my aunt wanted me to go out and buy ice cream for him to cheer him up. He wouldn't eat the ice cream so I gave it to my grandmother and then he probably got mad and he purposely pissed on the floor o_O He can really fustrate the hell out of you, he's the most stubborn, perverted, whiny, violent, disrespectful and moody 6 year old I've ever met in my entire life. I'm serious! It's so fustrating to be around him for a long period of time. So yeah...he refused to go home and change too so my sister, grandmother and I had to go out and buy him a pair of pants.

On Sunday I was still in New York, I stayed over my cousin's (Angela) house. We didn't do much...we went to Flushing again and did some shopping. After dinner we drove home and Angela and her mom and my other uncle came home with us.

Today we drove down to Philadelphia to shop. We first went to the Strawbridges near my old home. I bought the same shirt I wore in my after picture above but they were different colors, one was blue and one was purple =P And I got 2 other ones...then we went to lunch...then to Franklin Mills. I got jeans there and that's it. We started to shop from 11am to 6pm, my feet are hurting lol So tiring! My aunt bought so much clothes @.@ I guess it's because there's no tax here on clothing while New York taxes on everything. She bought about $300 worth of clothing lol

It's Independence Day today and I wanted to see fireworks but that never worked out =( Oh well...maybe next time...I always see them on TV and the ones people do themselves so I wanted to see professional ones myself for once.

School is finally over...

School finally ended on Wednesday and my sister, Sherry, had her graduation. I lost 2 of her balloons but after that they were so much easier to handle lol It was windy at times and they'd be blowing all over the place and hitting people in front of me and in back of me. Then I also dropped her cd player...and it fell under the bleachers and I couldn't get it because they fenced it. But a guy was really nice and climbed over the fence and got the cd player hehe Everything went ok until they had to read through the 1027 names @.@ They were reading names for over an hour but it seemed more like 5 hours.

Loraine! I tried to find you but I couldn't! There were 1027 people + their friends and family on the football field and I couldn't find anyone! Well except Sherry...but my mother found her not me lol I really wanted to take a picture with you =(

BTW, if any of you want to see pics you can go to http://sweetdreamz87.blogdrive.com/ because I don't have the time to post them lol

Although school ended, the day after I already had mini band camp and it'll last until tomorrow. I leave the house around 8:10am and get home at around 3:30pm and then I have to go back at around 5:10pm @.@ So yeah, I'm going to have to eat dinner soon...and go back to do nothing and be bored...I think I'm going to quit because it's just doesn't seem like it's for me. I'm seriously like anti-social or something like I just can't get a conversation going with anyone and our instructor isn't always here so we don't do crap and when he is here he's moving so fast. I'm not even sure why I joined again this year...I just want to do something in life, seriously I feel like I have such a sad life. The only reason I spend a hell of a lot of time in front of the computer is because I have absolutely nothing better to do. I'm bored ALL the time, god seriously life seems so pointless, all we do is set goals and when we reach them find new ones so that you can keep yourself "busy." Yeah well I really don't have much goals, not ones I really care about achieving anyway. Living your life to the fullest...hm...its just motivational words, motivational words don't work well with me beause they are but just words. Yes they are words which mean something but they're just words...I'm probably not making sense...anyways, I should go and make myself dinner.

2 more periods to go

I just finished tie dying last period, it was fun lol At first I wanted to do the spiral design but then I wasn't really sure how to do it and so many people were doing spiral. So I decided to do the ying and yang one. The colors I used were blue, navy, purple, green and yellow. The green is a bit bright and I probably shouldn't have mixed it with yellow lol But whatever, it's tie dying so anything goes. I hope it turns out good. I have to wait 24 hours and then wash it and stuff.

I was also really happy to find that I got a B on my math final! I was so scared since I got a D on the midterm hehe I managed to only get 3 questions wrong on the final I took on Thursday so an A + D averages out to be a B. I didn't get to find out what I got on my chemistry final though...too busy tie dying lol And then I couldn't find my teacher afterwards.

Oh yeah and guess what I watched in math class? Magic School Bus and Dora haha it was...amusing lol in case you guess don't know, those are little kid shows. we only watched about 10min of Magic School Bus though, an educational cartoon lol I learned about how plants grow haha And then I learned some Spanish from Dora. It was funny how some people in the class knew the characters and sang along, apparently one of the guys watches it when there's nothing else on tv haha god i had that song stuck in my head but luckily it went away, it was something like i'm playing a flute ding ding ding your playing a flute ding ding ding (not sure why they pick ding because that's definitely not the sound a flute makes) i'm playing a drum bam bam bam your playing a drum bam bam bam hahah imma stop now...
